To ensure a smooth installation, follow these steps carefully.
Preparation:
- Numbered panels indicate the hanging order (for non-repeating patterns).
- Hang panels from left to right and top to bottom.
- Unpasted wallpaper: Hang edge to edge, with no overlap.
- Pre-pasted wallpaper: Overlap 0.2" (5mm) for best results.
Surface Preparation:
- Remove old wallpaper or loose paint.
- Clean and smooth the wall, filling any holes or cracks.
- If the surface is porous, apply a primer or mist coat.
- Lay wallpaper panels flat for at least 24 hours to acclimate to room conditions and reduce curling.
Installation Process:
- Check Panels: Ensure all panels are present and undamaged before starting.
- Mark Guidelines: Use a spirit level and pencil to create faint vertical guidelines for the first panel.
- Apply Adhesive for the traditional wallpaper, peel off a small piece of paper from the back for the removable.
